Kookanusa Bridge
Montana's tallest and longest bridge is less than an hour drive from the Country Inn along the beautiful Lake Koocanusa Scenic Byway. The Koocanusa Bridge spans the width of Lake Koocanusa at a length of 2,437 feet and is an average of 270 feet high. The bridge offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains as it connects the east and west sides of Lake Koocanusa.
A parking area is located on the side of the road where visitors can park and walk the span of the bridge on the raised sidewalk to experience the amazing scenery at your own pace. Before heading back to Libby, head a couple miles up the road to historic Rexford, Montana and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at the Frontier Bar.
