The Dome Theater
Libby's only movie theater, the Dome Theater, was originally built in 1910 and is rich in history. The original structure was built of wood and burned down in January of 1948. The owners quickly rebuilt the theater with a sturdier, concrete structure and were open for business again in June of 1948. To this day, the Dome Theater still stands with the 1948 structure, interior and marquee.
Located minutes from the Country Inn in the historic Mineral Ave shopping district, the Dome Theater currently offers a variety of current Hollywood blockbusters, old classics and live shows, some of which are free of charge! The Dome is also available to rent for special occasions. See a list of current showings and events at the Dome and learn more at their website here.
